Create A Repeatable Event

Updated on March 21, 2023

Make An Event Repeatable

  1. Find or create an event.
  2. Scroll to the “Event Details” section and click on “Event Repeating”. Check the “Event Repeating (Recurring events)” box. Additional options will appear.
  3. Select how often your event will repeat from the “Repeats” drop down. The options include Daily, Every Weekday, Every Weekend, Certain Weekdays, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, Custom Days, and Advanced. If you would like an explanation on what each of those options mean, please read this article.

Select Exceptional Days

Used to “exclude certain days from event occurrence dates.” Example: Your board meets the first Monday of each month. One of these Mondays lands on a holiday so that meeting will be rescheduled.

  1. Find or create an event.
  2. Set up your repeating events based on the instructions above.
  3. Scroll to the “Event Details” section and click on “Exceptional Days”.
  4. Click on the “Date” area will automatically bring up a calendar selector. Select the date that should be excluded from your repeating event (i.e. holidays). Click “Add”.
  5. Add as many dates as necessary.
  6. I would also suggest creating a new event. Call it “Rescheduled [Original Event Title]”. Set that event to “Custom Days” in the repeating area. Then you can select that rescheduled Tuesday in the case of our example without needing to modify the original event. You can add as many dates as you need to the custom days area.

Preview & Save the Event

  1. Click “Preview ” in the upper right corner of the Publish block. This will open a new tab showing your changes.
  2. To save changes to the site, go back to the edit page. Click “Publish” or “Update”.
