Create new

  1. Hover over “Products” located in the dark gray menu to left of your screen on the back end of the site and click “Categories”.
  2. There will be two columns, one for adding a new category and the other will show all the categories currently on the site.
  3. Click “Create New” and fill in the information below that is necessary for your category.
    • Name: The category name you and your site visitors will see.
    • Slug: This filed will automatically update when you type the category name.
    • Parent category: Not required. This will allow you greater organization by making the category a subcategory.
    • Description: Not required. A general description of the category as it will show at the top of your category pages (if we have it set up that way).
    • Thumbnail: Click upload/add image to open your media gallery. Click set when you have found the desired photo.
  4.  Save when ready

Update existing

  1. Hover over “Products” located in the dark gray menu to left of your screen on the back end of the site and click “Categories”.
  2. The Categories page will show all the categories currently used on the site. To choose a category, click on its name or hover over the name until the word edit appear below it.
  3. Click to open the individual category’s information. Go through and edit the information as needed.
  4. Save when ready
