A Feedback Guide for Navigating Your IWDS Website Mockup

Three people sitting closely together are looking at a laptop, embodying the spirit of a small business. Two of them are pointing at the screen, suggesting a collaborative effort. The photo is taken from an overhead perspective, showing only their hands, the laptop, and their legs.

It’s likely that you’ve just received an email from our design with a link to your proposed website design.

Use the information below to provide feedback that helps us keep your project rolling.

Mockups are not clickable

Even though the design comes as a web address and it looks real, be aware that the mock-up is not clickable. At this stage, your site is a jpg that lives on our site’s server. We make it look as functional as possible to give you an idea of the finished product. Because it is not resizable, you may need to zoom in or out to see the design as intended.

How to view the mock-up

Please view the mock-up on a laptop or desktop as that’s the size the mock-up design was built for.

We understand you’re excited to see your site on a mobile device but that is not possible in the mock-up stage. The mobile responsiveness comes from the coding in the website and cannot be achieved when the mock-up is simply a jpg image. Know that we never build websites without the mobile responsive version in mind.

What to Focus On

Now is the time to focus on the overall design of the mock-up. You are welcome to point out content changes if you think they will change the layout. Generally, we want to know if you like the typeface, color, general layout, etc. of the proposed site design. Changing content such as text and images is much easier to do when the site is up and running.

NOTE: Any photos used in your site mock-up that are not your own will be stock photos. These photos are free to use with no attribution. They can be changed to your own photos at any time.

Request Changes

We want you to be happy with your new site so tell us what you think of the design. If there are things that need to be changed, we will happily create a new mock-up for you to see how the changes will affect the design.

Congratulations! You’re one step closer to your brand new website.
